Kim Zanks, Veterinary Receptionist since January 2005
Kim is our daytime receptionist. She grew up on her grandparent’s farm here in Ellington and loves all kinds of animals. She now lives in nearby Tolland with her husband and children. “I love it here. Every day brings something new. We have the best clients. It’s easy to work with people who love pets as much as I do.”
Crystal Willis, Veterinary Reception & Veterinary Assistant since June 2008
Crystal is our evening receptionist and also works as a veterinary assistant in the afternoon. She and her family live in Ellington. She has an amazing Australian Shepherd named Maggie Mae and a barnyard full of sheep, cows, horses, chickens and a goat named Billy. “My animals are my life & I love all kinds of animals. I love working with sick pets and nursing them back to health. Bringing comfort to them gives me joy.”
Ashlee Leone, Veterinary Assistant & Veterinary Receptionist since April 2006
Ashlee is a veterinary assistant who also works as a veterinary receptionist one night a week. She lives in Ellington and loves to hike and swim with her dog Ellie May. She has two cats, a mother and son pair she adopted from Ellington Animal Control. She also has a quarter horse named Honey. “I enjoy educating clients on behavioral and training topics. I have come to believe that preventive medicine often helps detects medical issues before they become a problem for our pets.”
Sandra Blossom, Veterinary Assistant since March 2006
Sandra and her family live in Stafford and has a wonderfully well-behaved pit mix named Neo. “I love introducing him to people because it always changes their view on pitbulls. They can be a very good family member.” Sandra loves to help animals and make them comfortable. She works hard to advocate for them - especially older pets. She notes that little changes can mean a lot to senior pets and working with your veterinarian can help pets live longer lives.
Barb Jubrey, Veterinary Assistant since September 2009
Barb and her family live in Windsor Locks. They love spending time with their 3 dogs at home and taking them on nature walks. Jovi & Jersey are Golden Retrievers and Pudge Meister is a Minature Pinsher. Barb loves the satisfaction of helping a doctor treat a sick pet and watch the pet get well. One of her dogs has food allergies and is on a special prescription diet along with shampoo and skin care products.
Dylan Pincince, Veterinary Assistant since May 2010
Dylan is a senior at the University of Connecticut and is majoring in Pathobiology. Lewis Boyett, Clinic Assistant since May 2010
Lewis lives in Manchester with his family. He is a proud husband and father. The family has a mixed breed dog named Rukus. Lewis enjoys working with animals and is passionate about his job. “I feel that pets have just as much right to have health care as we do.”
Ron Caron, Practice Manager since April 2004
Ron is our practice manager. He is responsible for overseeing client services, human resources, community relations, payroll, inventory, book keeping, and website development. “We are very fortunate to have clients who view their pets as members of the family. Our staff works hard to make the experience at the veterinarian's office to be as comfortable as possible - for both people and their pets.”
